Marseille
The second biggest city in France (and the oldest) sits under the eternal gaze of a golden Mary Magdalen glistening in the sun atop the enormous Catholic basilica Notre Dame de la Garde. This is a city that is many things: there are large North African, Arabic, Italian and Corsican communities embedding multiculturalism. Pieces of jewellery in this collection mirror this mix of cultures and include simple matte gold seashell earrings from which semi precious stones including ethically sourced sea glass, pearl, pink opals, sea bamboo, agate, turquoise, and lapis are suspended. Statement necklaces are inspired by both the colours and shapes of the calanques de Marseille and the blended history of its inhabitants in necklaces reflecting Berber jewellery. These beautiful pieces of jewellery look stunning when worn alone or when layered with other pieces.
